The 2024 Annual Meeting of the Chinese Hospital Associations Blood Purification Center Branch and the 16th China Blood Purification Conference Successfully Concluded

The 2024 Annual Meeting of the Chinese Hospital Association's Blood Purification Center Branch and the 16th China Blood Purification Conference was successfully held from August 8 to 11, 2024, in Chengdu, Sichuan.

Hosted by the Blood Purification Center Branch of the Chinese Hospital Association and co-organized by West China Hospital of Sichuan University, the conference focused on the theme "Innovative Development, Win-Win Cooperation, Promoting High-Quality Development of Blood Purification Centers in China." Key topics included technological innovation, optimization of service models, medical quality control, and patient safety management. Over 2,000 participants from 34 provincial-level administrative units, autonomous regions, municipalities, and special administrative regions across the country registered for the event. The conference aimed to promote the high-quality development of blood purification centers in China, enhance medical quality and management efficiency, and contribute to the construction of a Healthy China.

The conference invited top domestic experts in the field of blood purification to share the latest academic perspectives and research findings, providing authoritative references and guidance for the field. Among the speakers were Professor Jin Qizhuang, a vascular access expert from Peking University First Hospital, and Professor Wang Yuzhu, a blood purification expert from Haidian Hospital in Beijing. They delivered specialized lectures and summaries on the selection and application of TCCs and NCCs.

Professor Jin emphasized that the choice of hemodialysis catheters should comprehensively consider the patient's condition, expected dialysis duration, catheter design and performance, medical resources, and costs. He concluded that the risk of access-related infections increases with the prolonged use of NCCs. Compared to NCCs, the application of TCCs represents a clinical development trend. This provides guidance for the standardized selection and application of hemodialysis catheters in clinical practice.

In addition, Haolang Medical's star products, including long-term and temporary hemodialysis catheters, titanium connectors, iodine micro-caps, and peritoneal dialysis extension tubes, were prominently showcased at booth T03. As the only domestically produced long-term hemodialysis catheter, its symmetric tip allows for reversible connections, and it offers a full range of specifications that can be customized as needed. The product's optimized quality and cost-effectiveness have garnered the favor and recognition of many experts.

The successful hosting of this blood purification conference not only provided a higher-level academic exchange platform for experts and scholars in the field of blood purification but also further promoted the development of blood purification in China.
